: City on the plateau of Tierra de Campos at the Río Carrión with some tourist highlights: Cathedral in the museum with works by El Greco and Francisco de Zurbarán, and buildings in the Rococo style.

Frómista

: Town north of Palencia on the pilgrim route to the pilgrimage Santiage de Compostela in Galicia. The attraction is the church of San Martín from the year 1035.

Aguilar de Campoo

: Fortified town with Roman influences seen in the Plaza Mayor. Other attractions are the bell tower of San Miguel and Santa María la Real. The town on the edge of the Tierra de Campos is partly walled.

Carrión de los Condes

: Nice place on the pilgrim route to Santiago 40 kilometers from the capital of the province with many Gothic and Romanesque architecture.

Nature park de las Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina

: Mountains in the north of the province with glacial lakes and karst phenomena (caves include Cueva del cobre) with much wildlife including wolves and bears.

Baños de Cerrato

: Church southeast of Palencia from the year 661 with a visigothic architecture-style. The well-preserved church is located in the Pisuerga River valley.
